Microsoft Groove App Reviews

This app is all-around lacking. Its best plus is that you can play music from your iCloud library, but thats about it. It lacks horribly in queuing functions. It generally lacks in gesture control. It also lacks in speed of use meaning that it will take longer to do something even if you know what you want to do. It doesnt function with Musixmatch like Spotify and Apple Music will. In conclusion, I find this best for listeners of music that is not on the music databases, but lacks otherwise.

The radio music selection is better than Spotify. But when you add a music in a playlist, the whole album is copied ! And often you cannot remove any track. Thats really bad. Please add a music recognition system like Shazam inside groove to make a real difference with your music player competitors. As we can put some audiobooks into one drive, I think we would also need the ability to rewind or forward by 10, 20 or 30 seconds (look at the audible app).

I use multiple Microsoft products, a Surface 2, Xbox One, and a Windows 10 PC. All of the above products have pretty solid Groove Music apps however the iPhone does not. It makes sense that MS products would have a better app however I wish that MS would update this app just as they have all their other iPhone apps such as Outlook and Office mobile.

Even a CD player had a seek function for a song! Not only that the entire app itself is so boring and unpolished. No playlists make sense and I had to use Spotify to find new music. Embarrassing for a company like Microsoft.

This app is at least 8 months behind the Windows 10 Mobile version. Its missing dozens of features and bug fixes available in Windows 10 version. I dont know why MS hasnt updated the app since last September but they need to get on it. The downloads dialog is severely lacking, as is managing and creating playlists. The app also crashes every few hours if you arent actively playing music. Basically, MS needs to desperately update this app. Both with features and bug updates.

This app is horrible. Needs 1) Major UI update 2) Full features like Windows 10 app 3) Scaling for iPhone 6s Plus 4) Bluetooth fix. Resets song when Bluetooth connects. 5) More control in Bluetooth connected car.

How do you create an app that only works when youre on wifi? You do realize people do drive in their cars right?

No obvious way to shuffle music in playlists. Awful design.

Not working at all. Music on one drive displays but does not play. What happened. This used to work intermittently now it does nothing. From bad to worse.

I never write reviews but this app is terrible it doesnt even hav basic futures at least give us the abbilty to automaticly go to the next song withut entering the app

Please Microsoft fix this app! I like groove but needs to be fixed for bigger iPhones, speed and new UI

Does not log in!!!!!

First off, Groove Music is great, this review is specifically for the iPhone app, which is honestly atrocious garbage;Microsoft should be embarrassed theyve put out such a program. You cant skip during songs, which may not be a huge deal, but if you are driving it wont remember where you were last when you un-dock which is infuriating, on top of that songs refuse to start playing half the time, and it forgets what playlists you have downloaded for offline. On the plus side at least its something on iOS and +1 for adding the collection functionality. Ah well, better than spotify at least from a service perspective, who refuse to release a Windows app.

This app is just bad. It crashes, the songs stream unbearably slow and the User Interface is annoying and buggy. This does not raise to Microsoft standards, yet they brought us this crap to use. (Feeling disappointed.)

I see this app hasnt been updated since late 2015. I can tell--it wont even open for me. Good thing I didnt sign up for Groove yet. And I never will--unless this problem is fixed. Cmon, Microsoft.

Tried playing an album from OneDrive. Still listening to the 1st song. For the 5th time. It just keeps restarting at a random point in time over and over again...

Every time I listen to music the app crashes & then it skips my previous song that Im listening to over to the next & the I have to go back to my previous song again fix please.

Badly needs an update. Not please with Windows and Xbox versions
